We accept payment from credit or debit cards with the Mastercard or Visa logo.

When do you charge my credit card? 
We prorate your first month at 42¢ per day for the remainder of that month, as well as the next month in advance. Thereafter, we charge you within the last 7 days of each month for the next months service.

I want to change to a different credit card.  How do I do this?

What credit cards do you accept? 
We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Spamming policies 
we have a very strict anti-spam policy. Our Mail servers are configured to automatically shut down any account that sends over 200 messages per hour, or any one message with over 50 recipients. This is true regardless of whether or not the emails are solicited or not, as the mail server

Are there any long distance charges when using Dialandsurf.com? 
We suggest that you check with your local phone company to make sure that the number you dial to use Dialandsurf.com is a local call.  Under no circumstances will Dialandsurf.com reimburse for long distance charges. 

Does DialandSurf provide software? 
Yes, DialandSurf has a setup utility. It is not a stand-alone dialer, but rather configures Dial-Up Networking, a component of Windows, as well as Outlook Express for your email. The software is now compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, XP, and 2000. It is not compatible with any Mac or Linux systems - they have to be configured manually. DialandSurf does not provide browsers or email client software. You will need a browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape. We do have web-based email on our website.

Is the software easy to set up? 
The set-up runs like most programs.  You just need to enter some basic information, like name and password. 

How do I change my password? 
Contact us at support@dialandsurf.com and we will email you with conformation that your password has been updated. 

I forgot my password.  How do I find out what it is? 
Email us atsupport@dialandsurf.com and customer service will provide you with a password after verifiying information. 

Can I block adult or other material? 
You may use filtering software to block material that you find objectionable or you do not want members of your family viewing. Because of the work involved in consistently updating the filters, the charge for filtered service is $15.50 per month. If you have an existing account and would like to have filtered service contact us.

Are there any penalties for canceling the service? 
No, we never charge a cancellation penalty.  If we do not live up to YOUR expectations, then we do not deserve your business. 

How long does it take to get my account activated? 
We always try to setup accounts as quickly as possible. On average, new accounts take 4 hours to activate. During times of high sign-up volume, it may take as long as twelve hours.

Is DialandSurf.com service compatible with a Web TV box? 
Yes, but there may be fees associated with the use of your current WebTV box if their box is used with DialandSurf.com service. DialandSurf can be used with WebTV, but we do not provide support in the setup or configuration of WebTV devices.

I have two computers. Can I be online with both at the same time with one account? 
No, Only one simultaneous connection can be supported per $12.50 access fee. 

Who provides DialandSurf.com with its backbone to the Internet? 
DialandSurf utilizes the internet and frame-relay backbone of WorldCom/UUNET and several other backbone suppliers. 

Is DialandSurf.com setup software Macintosh compatible? 
DialandSurf's setup software is not currently compatible with Macintosh computers. However, you can connect to DialandSurf with Macintosh computers, and we do have a Mac Specialist who can guide you through the manual configuration.

How often will I get a busy signal? 
Not often!  DialandSurf.com does everything possible to maintain easy access to the internet.

How often does your server go down? 
Not often. Our servers are completely redundant. When one goes down, another one picks up right where it left off. 


Does DialandSurf.com offer ISDN or other high speed access? 
No, we currently only offer standard dialup. 

How often will the process of downloading files across the net be interrupted or terminated prematurely?  
Ideally this would never happen. Many times when it does happen it is a problem with the server sending or holding the data and not the ISP. 

Can I remain online for unlimited time without disconnecting? 
A user will automatically be disconnected after 4 hours. You can dial in and reconnect within two minutes. 

What is the limitation on the size of files that can be attached to e-mail? 
File size may be up to 1 megabytes and all file types are allowed.
